Having a talking butt can be both a curse and a blessing.
I just logged in on of one of my customers MODX-manager because I knew they had VersionX 2.0.0-rc4 installed. In the packagemanager I was prompted for an available update of VersionX 2.0.0-pl instead of newer package 2.1.0-pl. After update to 2.0.0-pl no update was showing. It looks like the packagemanager is failing in recognizing version_minor of extra's. The only updates I see are patches and change of releases. Could it be?
