      Run a reinstall.

      Now I have to ask...

Did you FTP the MODX files to your server?

If so, upload a fresh copy of 2.2.6 to your server (FTP ok for this).

Then, on the server itself, extract the files. Merge all the files into the install directory. Clear the files in core/cache.

      Re-run setup.

This never hurts, and sometimes helps. FTP can miss or corrupt files.

maybe also re-download the .zip from modx.com...I can remember a case where something in the archive seemed to be corrupted and just getting a fresh download solved the problem (I also tried to re-upload the corrupted archive in 1000 ways, but obviously that won't help =D)

Thanks all for the tips, I'm actually trying anything and everything at the moment smiley

Yes I have tried downloading a few times the zip (to make sure it wasn't corrupted), I also tried (which is what I normally do) with wget (ssh), I tried uploading in many different ways. I uploaded the zip file with FTP, also the unzipped file via FTP, even with terminal scp.

Nothing seemed to work, I contacted my host last night, they tried and tested obtaining the same result, they're still on it and have asked me to stand by until they find the problem. It seems to be a combination between Suhosin and XPDO and who knows what else.

As soon as I get a positive response from them I'll post some feedback.
