Media Source Sub Directories Not Showing

Hi,

Have created a new media source called 'Client Images' of which I have specified the basePath & baseURL to the directory in assets I want it to go.

Everything works fine, except....

That directory also has some subdirectories, which do not show when you select 'Client Images' under files?

Any ideas?

Im not sure.

I have played around with this a fair bit to see if I get get it to work. I have tried setting the policy to Media Source Admin, even Administrator. Tried changing the miniumium role to Super User.

Not matter what I do the result is the same.

If I'm logged in as the main administrator it displays fine as per below:



but when I log into the client it doesnt as per below:



Im not sure whether to raise this as a bug or it is something I am doing wrong?

How did you specify the URL and path? Did you include the trailing /

Yes, both the basePath and baseURL look like this

assets/image/dynamic/

Do you know if this something that has ever worked in the way I wont it or is just perhaps something I have configured incorectly or a bug?

It may be something with the ACL for the user group. I'm not knowledgeable enough about the user management system to be able to suggest what, though.

Thanks Sottwell and thingstodo that led me on the right track - was obvious once you knew where to look, simply ticked the 'directory_list' for the ACL of that group and all worked fine. [ed. note: mflammia last edited this post 13 years, 9 months ago.]

Its been 3years since your post and you just saved me alot of head scratching. I knew it was ACL but wasnt looking for "directory_*" keys was thinking in terms of file and media source and totally overlooking directory.
