    The latest version of TinyMCE itself does; it's just that the Revo implementation of it hasn't been updated to use that version. I'm not sure if you can simple replace the javascript part of it and continue using the MODx connectors or not. Sometimes you can.

    You also might be able to add the tags and their possible attributes that you want to use in the assets/components/tinymce/xconfig.js file

      As I mentioned previously in this thread - the xconfig.js file has html5 tags (at least some of them) in it as valid but MODX's tinymce implementation seems to ignore this. So the answer lies else where!

        Yep, xconfig does not help. Must be something else.

          I've also been trying figure out away to modify MODX's implementation of TinyMCE also but haven't had any luck. I've been looking into ways to set things like valid_elements through a System Setting.

            Yes, the actual TinyMCE simply ignores the HTML5 tags... well at least the figure tag!!! sad
