Tinymce remove html5 tags

Hi All

Any idea how to fix this? I´m trying to have some html5 tags working with the tinymce plugin, but it simply removes them from the code!!
I´ve followed this post instructions - https://forums.modx.com/thread/70203/tip-enabling-html5-elements-in-tinymce - but the problem persist.

Does anyone knows how to solve this situation?

Which tags are being removed (ie that you care about)?

For myself my solution is to deep six tinymce! But it would be nice to enable its use for less techie folks.

The problem is that the version of TinyMCE for MODx (3.4.7) does not support HTML5 tags; it will simply remove them as "illegal" tags. Hopefully the MODx package will be updated soon.

A quick peruse of the xconfig.js (assets/components/tinymce/xconfig.js) configuration file from a Revo 2.2.5 install revealed several html5 tags (such as article and aside) as valid elements.
HOWEVER I do not use tinymce*, and so am not sure what tinymce is removing these days!

*When it comes to writing html I'm in the WYGIWYM camp not the WYSIWYG one

Tell me about it, I hate that it does this. It would be great if there were a System Setting that let you append to a comma separated list of allowed tags.

I had problems with the figure tag

For me I hade problems with aside, article or any other HTML5 tag for that matter.

Some problem for me. Searched the web and (imho) all forum posts according to this (at modx and tinymce forums) - but none of the hacks did it.
I came up with the problem trying to configure a simple template for my customers to add a picture with a caption in RTE:

Thought it would be a quite quick configuration, as often when you use Modx (Revo). But not this time, either nothing or nonsense was inserted from the TinyMCE Template Chooser. After a while I realized it was the clean up function straddling my templating experiment...

Well, templating for tiny would be great (not everything can be done with TVs!) - and html5-tags are not a new feature. So why is it not supported? Or is it just buggy? The properties let you assume that it might be possible...
