If you mean how it looks, that is not a Setting and is managed entirely by you writing CSS.

It's odd, check out the page. The css of that first quip-fb container doesn't specify any height, nothing in the css does. Without seeing the full template and chunks in action however, it's hard to tell why it's doing this. The output seems accurate, from the source. But for some reason the second quip-fld div is far below where it should be.
There are a lot of divs, inside <p> tags. Which implies that all the quip divs are being placed into a rich text field manually. I wonder if this is monkeying it up.
Can you post all your code? From the content area, as well as any chunks you've created?
If it is being handled by an RTE, than this can certainly cause behavior like you are describing. I modified my Quip Chunks to use semantic markup.
When I look through the code for the CSS, I'm drawn to the Quip Reply css, specifically: quip-fld
Inside the CSS is the following declaration:
.quip-fld br { clear: both; }
This takes place with the first BR after NAME, which suggests that this is where the big break is occurring.
I tried changing BOTH to NONE, LEFT, and RIGHT, but all three of those made a hash of things.
NONE at least brought the comments back up in one cluster, but then made the BR commands (such as between the Name textbox and the "Email" string) irrelevant (and thus the "Email" appears on the same line as the previous text box).
I don't know where to change the output code for the page or I'd just but the BR tags between the DIV blocks.
Ok. That I can easily help you with:
The actual Output code is in your Media Source under "core/components/quip/elements/chunks/". It is a file named "quipaddcomment.chunk.tpl". Do not modify this file! Instead, click the file to open it. Select all of the contents. Copy them.
Create a new Chunk. Name it quipAddComment. Paste the Content you just copied. Modify to your heart's content. Save! You may actually do this with any of the Quip Chunks. MODx will use your Chunk Element over the Media Source's.
"That I can easily help you with"
Awesome! That did the trick!
I modified the style sheet to have it clear NONE, and then I moved the BR tags out of the DIV region. Had to add a couple here and there for looks.
Thank you very much!
(and I learned that I can modify CSS files without using FTP! Booya!)
What specifically are you hunting? (hopefully, not snipes)
"What specifically are you hunting? (hopefully, not snipes)"
There's a clear:both in there that's interfering with me.
If you click the link, you can see that the first comment looks fine, but everything under the first comment gets clear:bothed.
If I post one test comment, then the add-a-comment section gets clear:bothed.
Check this file:
"core/assets/components/quip/css/web.css"
Again, don't modify this file. Just copy the selectors to your own CSS and mark them !important and change them
