    Scotty,

I went ahead and checked out your site... http://scottydelicious.com. I gotta tell you, I love the menu buttons at the top, and the way you incorporated the flash. I am jealous. Good work.

        Grrrr.....
        I hate flash!!!
That intro stuff is actually all done with JavaScript.
Check out the source code on the page, and feel free to borrow the HTML, CSS, and JS if you want to take it apart and see how I did it.

I did not say that I am not really a doctor, I am just implying that my PhD is not from a formally accredited center of education that you may recognize. More like "the Scotty Delicious school for doctors that don’t read real good and want to do other stuff good too."

After I figure out Modx, I definitely will take apart the JS to see how you did it. I really like it. I am a complete noob with JS / AJAX, but it is on my list of things to learn. Plus, I am getting tired of using flash all the time. That is why I am focusing on xhtml, css, and Modx.

Just in case you need a start for JavaScript (it took me quite a time to find information to start with):
There are several different Object_oriented JavaScript frameworks you can use. The framework which is used internally in MODx is called mootools. If you want to get more information about it I recommend to start with http://clientside.cnet.com/wiki/mootorial and http://demos.mootools.net/. But instead of mootools you could also use JQuery, Prototype or others (which almost can do the same things).

Thanks for the links raum. I just bookmarked them. Now all I need is for the days to grow to about 30 hrs long. Then I will have time to learn it all.
