Ah-haa ... ACLs. Okay. Thanks for helping me out, Frogabog.
The problems I mentioned above (#1 & #2; from two posts earlier) are regarding frontend logins. I've created a login for site visitors that will bring them to a Customer Dashboard. Everything is working beautifully except, after they get their confirmation email and click on the email link to come back to the site and login with their username and password, they are told their account has been disabled.
That's a very threatening statement, to begin with! But it really only means that I have to go into the backend Manager and make them "Active."
I'm trying to understand why that is happening and what I need to do to make it so that they are "Active" members right up front.

If you set it up right, the email link should send them to a page containing a ConfirmRegister snippet tag, which can make them active, log them in, and forward them to the page of your choice. Make sure your Login package is the current one.
[[!ConfirmRegister?
&redirectTo=`12`
&errorPage=`[[++site_start]]`
]]

Thanks, Bob.
I have it working now.
Only, I'm now having a problem with browsers! My registration page (see link above) is working perfectly in Safari, but not at all in IE or Firefox. After clicking the submit button, the user remains on the page and all fields go blank. Nothing happens.
This is the only page in the new member process that isn't working in IE or Firefox.
I don't get it.

UPDATE | Problem Fixed:
I discovered what the problem was. I was using a graphic image for the submit button instead of the form-button and that was messing things up (but not in Safari for some reason).
