    The 096 install seems to be ignoring the query string completely. Is that particular page cached?

    Hmm ... upon revisiting, I’m getting a database error:
    PHP error debug
    Error: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /home/16786/domains/modx.signature-ad.com/html/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php
    Line: 87
    Line 87 source: if (!$this->conn = ($persist ? mysql_pconnect($host, $uid, $pwd) : mysql_connect($host, $uid, $pwd, true))) {

    Are they running on identically configured database instances?

    Yes, strange that you got a connection error thrown . .

      I never saw a db error, but...

      These pages being rendered are not valid; they do not contain html, head, or even body tags. But more importantly, it still appears to be showing the same thing regardless if the links are taking it to the proper location in the browser address bar, and thus still appears to be displaying cached content from the MODx document with id=2 in your site. Did you make sure that page is not cached in the 0.9.6 installation?

        Well for those test I was just using a ’blank’ template – even so in a valid page it functions the same. Anyhow, I have ’emptied’ the cache as a test but with no result. I’ll empty the cache and deselect ’cacheable’

          Just emptying the cache is not going to help. The document must be set to non-cacheable for this to work.

            Deselecting ’cacheable’ in the page settings did the trick. Thanks for the help. Strange though that this issue didn’t occur with 0.9.5?

              Perhaps you still had the TemplateSwitcher or DisableCache plugin enabled in the 0.9.5 installation (these are not included in 0.9.6), so you never noticed any caching?

                Correct, which I thought was strange but since the sites under 0.9.5 have always functioned as expected never gave it much thought or attention.

                  Actually, to me is seems strange that it would’ve worked with cacheable pages in 0.9.5 (or any other version)...

                    That’s just it ZAP, as long as the DisableCache plugin is enabled, there are no cacheable pages in a stock 0.9.5 install.

                      Aha. Somehow I didn’t see those last couple posts, but that makes sense. I guess whenever I installed 0.9.5 (which seems like ages ago now) I always unchecked those plugins.
