    So, despite that I have ’XHTML URLs’ set to ’No’ it is still rewriting parts of the URLs for Easy PHP Calendar buttons:

    <input name="epcprev" type="button" id="epcprev" value="<<" class="formButtons" onClick="location=’index.php?q=eventscalendar.html&mo=6&amp;yr=2007’" >
    <input name="next" type="button" id="next" value=">>" class="formButtons" onClick="location=’index.php?q=eventscalendar.html&mo=8&amp;yr=2007’" >

    What is going on here? I have this calendar setup under version 0.9.5 with no issue. This prevents a user from navigating to other months and/or years.

    Note, the call for the calendar is setup as a Snippet as follows:
    <?php
    $TOC=1; require("calendar/calendar.php");
    ?>

    When the page is processed, it’s rewriting the urls for the buttons, removing one of the ’&’ and replacing it with ’&amp;’

      Please, do not double-post.

      There must be some kind of plugin enabled that is responsible for this behavior. MODx should not be rewriting any code like that, especially if you have XHTML URLs turned off. Have you refreshed the cache since making this configuration change?

        My appologies for the double post – just wasn’t sure which forum would be correct for the issue.

        Anyhow, yes I’ve cleared the cache both within Modx and the browser and have the same result. Note, I’ve used this calendar under other installs of Modx (version 0.9.5) without issue and have not changed they way I set it up between 0.9.5 and 0.9.6, however, under 0.9.6 something is rewriting the urls. So the only thing that has changed is the version of Modx I’m using.

        One last thing to test would be to reinstall the calendar script files. Any other suggestions?

          I just re-installed the calendar script and still the same result. Modx seemingly continues to rewrite the urls despite ’XHTML URLs’ is turned off. Additionally, the calendar system works fine on it’s own – outside of Modx. See links below:

            Just did a fresh install of both Modx 0.9.6 and EasyPHP Calendar, stock install didn’t change any settings and getting the same result. This is, as far as I can see from my troubleshooting, a Modx issue – system continues to rewrite ’&’ to ’&amp;’ in the urls for the submit buttons in the calendar . .

            Here is a link to the calendar script, you’ll need ioncube installed on the server or zend in order to have it function correctly. I’ll be curious if others will get the same result as I have.

              Ok, so I have two base installs of modx 0.9.5 + 0.9.6, calendar works in 0.9.5 but not 0.9.6. I know this post is a little repetative but, wanted to post links of the two installs showing that it works in under one version but not the other.

              Any ideas what is causing it not to function under 0.9.6? Would it be difficult to ’downgrade’ the two sites I have in 0.9.6 to 0.9.5? Or would they need to be rebuilt?

                  Yes they are identical, the calendar, however if you try and navigate to the next or previous months, it doesn’t work under 0.9.6 but does under 0.9.5. The navigation is below the calendar . . . Note that originally 0.9.6 seemed to be rewriting the urls for the submit buttons – so to test if this was the problem – I setup these with the navigation manually inserted yet still the same thing is happening. So don’t think its a rewrite problem anymore.

                    Without seeing your manager, all I can say is it appears that the installation where the calendar is not working is pulling the content from the cache. Perhaps your page is cacheable in that installation for some reason?

                      The 096 install seems to be ignoring the query string completely. Is that particular page cached?

                      Hmm ... upon revisiting, I’m getting a database error:
                      PHP error debug
                      Error: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query
                      Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
                      File: /home/16786/domains/modx.signature-ad.com/html/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php
                      Line: 87
                      Line 87 source: if (!$this->conn = ($persist ? mysql_pconnect($host, $uid, $pwd) : mysql_connect($host, $uid, $pwd, true))) {

                      Are they running on identically configured database instances?
