While posting the above entry, I got the following error message:

    504 Gateway Time-out

    nginx/0.8.53

This does happen really often. And the answer mails don't have a correct link to the new answer in it, one does end at the first page of the thread.

      hi,

i've just got the same thing posting an answer in you evo thread
      i may add another "funny" detail, have a look at the pagination when you're reading say page 35 of a thread that has 38 pages, you'll still see < 1 2 ... 36 37 38 >, weird, isn't it ?

I'm noticing the 504 problems too. It is inserting responses into the DB, but whatever happens after that is timing out. Viewing the threads seems to work fine … but regardless, we're looking into it. (Wonder if it's somehow related to long multipage threads.)

And the link going to the first page drives me crazy! tongue

Thanks for bringing these issues up.

can't check the forum at all with firefox

          firefox says forewarding never ends

Firefox heeft vastgesteld dat de server het verzoek voor dit adres doorverwijst op een manier die nooit zal eindigen.

Chrome says, the site might not be available, try again later. It is not a browser specific failure.

As Ryan mentioned, the response is in the database and than something runs amok. It feels like posting on bigger threads take longer, than on smaller ones. But regardless how big/small the thread is, it takes very long until you are forwarded to the result.

Btw, the nginx version, that is used here, might have some security issues.

                Folks,

We tweaked a bit of our internal infrastructure plugins that may have been causing the slowdown. Let us know if you're still having issues.

The 504 happens on and on while posting on long threads with Firefox on Linux and Android.

Shaun, still happening as of 1 minute ago when posting to long threads like this one: https://forums.modx.com/thread/74766/bringing-evo-back-to-life-again?page=42

                    I'm seeing it in Chrome, but I don't think it's browser-related.

It doesn't happen when altering an existing post, just posting a new one.

Same here with FF. Posting to any thread takes a long time.
