Just noticed that after installing migx there is now the input for migxDB as well, is there any more info on how to configure this?

This is weird, but I have a need for almost this exact thing that just came up on a project I'm working on. If I'm understanding it correctly, it allows me to add multiple MIGX items to a resource, and then also add as many "rows" as I want to each of those original MIGX items, correct?

I know your tutorials aren't ready yet, but I would love a little guidance on how to start setting this up.

MIGXdb is for editing records of custom-db-tables in a TV.
They can be connected to the resource which you are editing.
Its also possible to have a MIGXdb-TV in another MIGXdb-TV.

          Simple Example:
Lets say you have Customers and you have for each Customer created a Resource and you have a Custom-table for Customer-Invoices and another table Invoice-Positions.

Now its possible to have a MIGXdb-TV in the Customer-Resources, where you can add and edit invoices, which belongs to the Customer.
In its editor-window you can have another MIGXdb-TV where you can add and edit Invoice-Positions which belongs to the Invoice, you are editing.

You can also have another Resource, for example the parent of the Customer-Resources, where you can see and edit all invoices of all Customers, or for example all Positions of all invoices.

MIGXdb does also work together with xdbedit

If you need just MIGX-items in MIGX-items stored as Json in the TV-field, not in db-tables, this should be possible with the normal MIGX-TV

Thanks Bruno for the info on this, it's made it clearer on what it does. Not got a a need for that yet, but looking forward to seeing it out of beta and some real life examples.

Holy cow! I am dumbfounded. I thought putting a MIGX inside a MIGX would create a hole in the space/time continuum, but it actually works! That is one seriously awesome add-on, Bruno. Much thanks for developing it -- I'd be in a lot of trouble at work right now without it.

Sorry for derailing the MIDXdb discussion. I do see a lot of use for this in the future, too, but for now, the layered-MIGx approach handles what I need. Thanks!!!

Wow, this looks like the feature I've been looking after for a long time now!

Any chance on at least a small example on how to use it?

I would definitely love to help out with some testing and maybe writing documentation to have a productive version faster. [ed. note: boundaryfunctions last edited this post 14 years, 6 months ago.]

Is anybody, who reads this, able to give me a name on rtfm?

I have error with richtext TV. it displays like small textarea in stand alone mode(via Component menu), but it looks correct when I display it using migxdb TV. I suppose it's a issue with tinymce.
                      could you help me?
textarea TV has RichText input type
