    Hello guys,

    I'm trying to create a nice gallery page for my client, unfortunately the image load very slow, it seems like they're not being cached. I refer to this webpage: http://vantellingen.sethpoint.nl/projecten.html

    The template code goes somewhat like this:

    		$ids = $modx->getChildIds($modx->resource->get('id'),1);
    		$output = "";
    		foreach($ids as $id) {
    			$resource = $modx->getObject('modResource', $id);
    			$galId = $resource->getTVValue('prettyGalleryAlbum');
    			$output .= $modx->runSnippet('Gallery',array(
    				'album' => $galId,
    				'thumbTpl' => 'prettyGalleryImageTpl',
    				'thumbWidth' => '59',
    				'thumbHeight' => '49',
    				'useCss' => '0'
    			));
    		}

    		echo $output;

            I still haven't found the problem/solution, no-one any ideas? The cache folders are set to 755. [ed. note: senkaz last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]

                Hello,

                How is the server currently configured to interact with php (DSO, suPHP, FCGI...?)?

                  From what i understand in the information window about the system, php is installed as module and run via apache. I will verify this by my hosting provider, what impact could this be on the gallery performance?

                    The different methods of running php have different levels of performance, but more importantly they interact with things differently, so you might not have the right file permission.

                    While you are asking about that, you may want to ask if Imagemagick is installed.

                      If i take a look at the assets/components/gallery/cache/ directory, there is a huge list of .png and .jpg. I believe this is a good thing, why dont the thumbnails refer to this public cache folder?
