Solved - MODX (TinyMCE ?) is adding /manager/ to root document paths

Hello,

I couldn’t see this prob posted here at the first glance and via search.

The link management (via TinyMCE) is adding a /manager/ prefix to image or document paths that I enter, even to documents inside modx tree inserted via the link list dropdown. In frontend and in backend editing.

I think setup and config is OK, I’m running 0.9.5 on a site in development.

Yes, I have activated user friendly URL and user friendly path details for full path names. Everything else as file manager / asset management is working correctly. Any idea on that?

I am having the same problem with /manager/ being added to the images path even when I use the HTML to add the image path. I cannot access that page anymore (It seems corrupted). Does somebody else have the solution?

I had the same issue a while ago. The solution is simple:
Go to "Resources > Manage resources > Plugins > TinyMCE". Tab to Configuration and set "Path Options" to "docrelative".
That solved the problem for me.

How about putting this in the Wiki? Maybe adding it to the FAQ, or in Tips and Tricks or something.

Wiki and forum accounts are separate, however you can make the same user/pass for yourself in the wiki, because wiki is written by the MODx users! & everyone has a unique username @ MODx forums.

Yeah. Did that already and wrote a small article covering the issue discussed in this thread.

Great, Don’t forget to make it belong to some categories like susan said, you can edit those articles that already belong to specific categiries to see how you can assign them to belong to the related one. :-]

I did that. It is linked in the Tips and TinyMCE category: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/How_to_prevent_TinyMCE_from_prefixing_relative_URLs_with_/manager/

It doesn’t appear under "T" (as in TinyMCE) in the article overview. How can i change that?
