      Second attempt. Rebuild most of the site. Checking the site with example no problem at all. Putting in the Personalize snippet, functioned the first time flawlessly, gave me again a blank page. Non of the pages are loading.

      I am getting desperate!

        I am still have no success loading my site. Everything seems to be there in manager. All resources are there in manager, but none are viewable.
        Deleting core/cache manually, changing compress_css and compress_js to no, deleting the changes I made so the site was in a functioning state nothing seems to matter.

        It seems safari and firefox are not able to connect to localhost. Individual pages can not be viewed.

        I am still hoping somebody is able to put me on the right track.

            If the manager works and the front-end doesn't, it usually means you have something wrong in the .htaccess file in the root, or else you have friendly URLs turned on in MODX, but haven't renamed ht.access to .htaccess.

              I renamed ht.access to .htaccess turned on friendly URLs.

              Here is my .htaccess:
              # MODX supports Friendly URLs via this .htaccess file. You must serve web
              # pages via Apache with mod_rewrite to use this functionality, and you must
              # change the file name from ht.access to .htaccess.
              #
              # Make sure RewriteBase points to the directory where you installed MODX.
              # E.g., "/modx" if your installation is in a "modx" subdirectory.
              #
              # You may choose to make your URLs non-case-sensitive by adding a NC directive
              # to your rule: RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA,NC]

              RewriteEngine On
              RewriteBase /ceciliahandel

              # Rewrite www.domain.com -> domain.com -- used with SEO Strict URLs plugin
              #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
              #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^example-domain-please-change\.com [NC]
              #RewriteRule (.*) http://example-domain-please-change.com/$1 [R=301,L]
              #
              # or for the opposite domain.com -> www.domain.com use the following
              # DO NOT USE BOTH
              #
              #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
              #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.example-domain-please-change\.com [NC]

                Then what?

                Do you have this in the head section of all templates?

                <base href="[[++site_url]]">

                Also, try this in the .htaccess file:

                Rewrite Base /

                  I think the problem is indeed in the template I use.
                  Changing the template to the basic template the index page loads.

                  My quest goes on!

                    Found it!

                    I have got a basic page template where I can put in some optional content, I added here a few items I needed for login. Maybe with some mistakes
                    It looked like this:
                    [[*content]]
                    				<!-- START Optional content -->
                    				[[If? &subject=`[[*page_lightbox]]` &operator=`notempty` &then=`<p>[[$page_lightbox_trigger]]</p>`]]
                    				[[If? &subject=`[[*optional_gallery]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$page_gallery]]`]]
                    				[[If? &subject=`[[*optional_contactform]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$contactform]]`]]
                                                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_loginform]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$loginform]]`]] -->
                                                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_forgotpassword]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$forgotpassword]]`]]
                                                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_passwordhandler]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$paswordhandler]]`]]
                                                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_requestmembership]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$requestmembership]]`]]
                                                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_requestpending]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$requestpending]]`]]
                                                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_membershiphandler]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$membershiphandler]]`]]
                    				<!-- END  Optional content -->

                    The last one:
                    [[If? &subject=`[[*optional_membershiphandler]]` &operator=`EQ` &operand=`yes` &then=`[[$membershiphandler]]`]]
                    gives the mistake.

                    After I took this out the site is accessible!

                    Thank you for your help.
