    Hello to you all,

    I'm building a site for the first time with MODX, until now everything worked very well. Changing pages and viewing them with site example gave no problems. I put in a member login with the login package using this http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Login.Request+Membership tutorial. Eveything seemed to work fine. Then I made a container from member homepage to put in extra pages. After that I was unable to reach the site, I only get a blank. Other try outs I made to get to know MODX show up.

    The site is on localhost, I tried emptying core/cache no result. In manager all pages chunks etc show up normally. Unfortunately I couldn't find much about a similar problem.

    I use: MODX Revolution 2.2.0-pl2 traditional
    MAMP 2.0.5
    Apache 2.0.64
    MySQL 5.5.9
    PHP 5.2.17 & 5.3.5 (as stated in MAMP)

    Hopefully anybody has a clue how to fix this, and I will not have to build the site again!

    With kind regards,

    Ad.

        Hi, this a tinymce bug:

        [2012-02-12 19:44:08] (ERROR @ /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/fanfare/core/components/tinymce/lexicon/nl/default.inc.php : 12) PHP warning: include_once(/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/fanfare/core/components/tinymce/lexicon/nl/english.inc.php) [<a href='function.include-once'>function.include-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
        [2012-02-12 19:44:08] (ERROR @ /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/fanfare/core/components/tinymce/lexicon/nl/default.inc.php : 12) PHP warning: include_once() [<a href='function.include'>function.include</a>]: Failed opening '/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/fanfare/core/components/tinymce/lexicon/nl/english.inc.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/Applications/MAMP/bin/php/php5.3.6/lib/php')

        To solve this bug simply duplicate the file default.inc.php and rename to english.inc.php and problem solved, remember it in the directory where the error (/core/components/tinymce/lexicon/nl/) .

        [2012-02-12 19:36:47] (ERROR @ /fanfare/index.php) Could not cache source data for 16.

        I have the same problem and can not find solution sad

        My system:
        Ubuntu 11.10 x64
        MODx 2.2pl2 Revo
        Mysql 5.1.58
        PHP 5.3.6

          Changing the name from default.inc.php in english.inc.php in /core/components/tinymce/lexicon/nl/ solved the error problem.

          But I am still unable to load my site.

          Anybody has an other solution?

            It's worth a try to manually delete all files in the core/cache directory.

            You can also try turning off the compress_js and, if necessary, compress_css system settings. You can do it in PhpMyAdmin in the modx_system_settings table (change the value from 1 to 0) if you can't do it in the Manager.

              I allready manually deleted the files in core/cache, several times. Turning off compress_js and compress_css make no difference.

              Published data were for 80% gone, I put them back manually clearing cache manually but still no success. Is it an option to depublishe the pages, clearing cache manually, and publish them all again? Or does this make no difference?

              I'm afraid hours of work are gone!

                Tried to un-publish and publish all pages with no result, but I noticed emptying the cache in manager that zero pages were published and zero unpublished! I have got 28 pages.

                Does this give a clue?

                  You may have deleted the page designated as the home page in the system settings.

                  If you can access the Manager, check the value of the site_start system setting and make sure it is set to the ID of real, published document.

                  The fact that no documents were published doesn't mean anything about your problem. It just means that no pages were scheduled to be published or unpublished today.

                    Couldn't find any problem, everything looked all right. I gave up and started all over again.

                    Could the cause be the member login? As stated here:
                    After submitting the registration form, I get a white page.

                    To verify this behavior, try visiting your "Request Membership" sign-up page and submit the form without any data in it. If you get nothing but a completely empty blank white page, the cause may be due to your PHP configuration.

                    A simple test here is the following script:

                    if (function_exists('mb_ereg')) {
                     print 'Yes, the multibyte function exists';
                    }
                    else {
                     print 'No, the function does not exist. The Register Snippet may fail.';
                    }
                    The solution involves recompiling PHP. You must have the mbstring library installed and you must ensure that you have not included the --disable-mbregex option.

                    See this forum post for more details.

                    I tried the test script and the multibyte function did exist.

                      That would mean that's not what caused your problem.
