Couple of issues with 2.2

Get the latest nightly, or set date_timezone in the Settings to the same as your php.ini file.

This is a weird symptom of a seemingly unrelated problem... what does the date_timezone have to do with this exactly? Curious curious...

An error in 2.2-rc2 was setting PHP to UTC if not explicitly set in the settings (has been fixed since in the latest nightlies) and the template switching depends on temporary messages stored in the db that are being set with a valid timestamp according to the timezone of the MySQL server; when we attempt to look for the message from PHP, it fails because of the timezone difference.

Interesting. Is this something you're testing for on install or on login?

If the date.timezone setting in PHP is not set (or you override it via Settings), we are setting it to what you specify in Settings (or UTC if not specified) on each request to prevent the PHP errors that are triggered when trying to use date functions without it set properly.

I'm having the same problem with 2.2.0-pl2.
MySQL time zone is set to System
System timezone is set to Sydney/Australia through Webmin
PHP is set to Sydney/Australia
In Modx Default Time Zone date_timezone Australia/Sydney
Any ideas why it's not working?

Bob, sorry, that was just a mistake... they are all set to Australia/Sydney.

Everett, I was looking at all the timezone info prior to writing the initial post but everything seems to be set correctly. Have you, or anyone in your forum travels got this going with Australia time stamps?
