Yes it is a local install, me and my designer friend are setting it all up locally before we go live to make sure everything is working 100%
From what I have been reading I think the problem may lie with the fact that I had set up my Modx and SMF forum login and password the same and that may be causing sessions issues. My friend didn’t use the same passwords and for him it works fine
I will simply be reinstalling everything and not making the same mistakes.
