The merge routine (during upgrade) will have to make a decision. If they have the same email address, it is probably safe to assume that they can be combined. If not, then I propose that the manager username should have "manager" appended to it (assuming that this itself does not cause a clash). The admin should be warned that this is the case, and he can then modify stuff (or contact the manager user) accordingly.

This does, in turn, mean that if you are letting random web users sign up it will be worth having duplicate webuser copies of all your manager users, including "admin".
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

There will be a single user system by 1.0, yes.

If webuser and manager user are merged,Pls, Whats the implication of this? Lets say am the manager user, and I want a webuser to have access to just some blogs or to edit the site from the frontend, how does it affect it? Does it mean that webuser can access all the backend control panel features? I guess my question is how and what is meant by the single user system?

What I guess is that technically there will only be 1 database to store users information instead of 2 (webusers and manager users). And of course you will still be able to control who to can access the backend and who cannot. It will still be long before we will get to 1.0. laugh There is still 0.9.7 half way.
