One thing I would like to see is the concept of "categories" for documents, as well as a hierarchical tree structure, and be able to assign TVs by category. Be able to assign templates by category, too!
The tree could be switched from structure view to category view.
But as far as the tree goes, that’s the main reason I chose to use Etomite all those years ago, since the MODx mods gave it the other features I needed at the time.
really, the section/subsection architecture of mambo/joomla is so inflexible! MODx got it right with the unlimited level parent/child tree structure, it’s the most powerfull and flexible, and enables you very simply to implement a section/subsection structure if you want to, while the other way around is impossible.

You guys got any more morsels about 1.0 you’d like to tease me with? been a while.
make tvs only visible in the documents where the tvs are needed at.
Don’t worry about the trees, guys. In fact, 0.9.7 has more trees - you’ll have a Resource view (grouped by Context), a File View, and an Elements View (elements being snippets, chunks, etc). These trees will also be draggable - so no more opening up pages to move them to different sections or to reorder them; that can all be done from the tree now.
This and many, many more cool features to come in 0.9.7.

There will be a public beta before the end of January. (Secretly we’re shooting for December, but don’t tell anyone.)

Speaking of the tree . . . I’d like to have the option of having the tree autoexpand in the manager for some or all users. That way naive users won’t tell me that the file they want to edit isn’t there.

I’m very exited. I’m really looking forward to playing with the framework. Ohhh what goodies are in store!
