MODX Evolution 1.0 - Language files update progress

Find below an analyse of the progress for the update of the language files. This analyse has been done with the checkLanguageFiles tool (release 1.1)

Manager files - based on tattoo - Revision 5299: /tattoo/branches/1.0 on 4th of July

On this page are the details results for the following manager languages files:

Some remarks:
Except English, French files and Czech, all other files have missing labels. And should be updated.

The Portuguese file has the label manager_lockout_message defined twice.
The spanish file has the label database_tables defined twice.


The following language files are depreacated or not used (lot of missing labels):
- Portuguese
- english-british
- simple_chinese-gb2312

Except English, French and Russian files, all other files have missing labels. And should be updated.

The german file has the labels mysql_5051 and strict_mode defined twice.

The persian file has the labels mysql_5051 defined twice.

Regarding useless labels, check that these labels are really not used somewhere else that in the manager or in the installer.

Are the language updates done or is there more coming?

No, these updates have not been done. This is only a status of the difference between english files and other country files.
These update are required for the next RC of MODx Evo 1.0.

Sorry, I meant the updates to the english files. Will there be more updates to those files or are they finalized? I don’t want to post an update to the swedish files yet if more is coming.

I hesitate to say there won’t be any more updates, but there shouldn’t be. I probably should take another run through everything just to make sure.

Finally got back on my MODx Translation work, sorry for the hold up but It was just too much job to do....

I’ll be finishing the portuguese-br translation ASAP.

It’s the only thing I can do after all the good things that MODx brought to me.

And boy was there ever a lot more updates. Found more hard coded language strings and more. I’ll detail all the changes but this should be very close to the end.

Where do we change the languages?

I submitted to Ryan the spanish-mx files a while ago... are these the ones
used for spanish general in your lists?
