    hi,
    Great tutorial. Thank you.
    I have questions though. I’m lost on the 404 error page. I created the folder unpublished and it creates one more flag automatically now. It’s not actually my main issue. I don’t really understand how to create a 404 per language...if it’s possible. Seems that I don’t have a directory languages in assets.
    Any idea on how to have a different 404 per language?
    Thank you.

      Hi,

      If a page doesn’t exist in the other language, it goes automatically to the ultimate parent. But I need it to go to the errorpage in that language.

      Anyone any idea how I can do this?

      thanks!

        Hi guys, I had problems with the cookies Language and LanguageID. Sometimes their values didn’t change and sometimes the cookies didn’t create. I fixed that with a uncached call of snippet language ([!language!]).

        I hope that this help someone.

          You have to create the directory yourself in the assets folder. And for each language you create a php-file with the 404-message in that folder.

          en.php
          <?php
          $modx->setPlaceholder("errorpage",'We\'re very sorry, but this page is not available');
          $modx->setPlaceholder("link-errorpage",'<p><a href="[~7~]">Back to the homepage</a></p>');
          ?>

          You can make your own placeholders to put in the error-page

          Also call the language snippet uncached like ssinuco said. [!language!], otherwise the errorpage doesn’t change language.

          For the flags, it’s probably something in the Wayfinder call, try to un-tick ’show-in-menu’ on the errorpage folder

            Can somebody please help me with the errorpage, I asked this question before.

            When you switch languages and the page doesn’t exist in the other language it automatically goes to the ultimate parent. How can I change this that it goes automatically to the errorpage instead of the ultimate parent?

              I’m in the planning stages of a multi-lingual site that’s going to be based on this tutorial. My question is this: Will this method work on Revo - beta or final when it’s released?
