I was thinking that one thing would be nice for the next 0.9.2 release : get rid of those remaining hardcoded strings.

We translators of all languages could help the dev team nail those s*ckers smiley

In the french boards, we have started listing those hardcoded strings :
    http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2320.0.html

I wondered if some of you had already started the hunt.
This thread could be a place to list those smiley

    Let’s start :

In Site > Site Schedule : tab is hardcoded
In Administration > View system info : tab is hardcoded
In Administration > Audit trail : tab is hardcoded
In Administration > Backup manager : tab is hardcoded
In Users > Manager permissions : the submit button is hardcoded

Please correct me if I am wrong here, and help me add to this list smiley
I you know the location of the strings in file, it might help the dev team too (I’ll get started on this...)

    Thanks !

        Very nice, great addition !
Once we centralize all strings we can submit this via FlySpray smiley

        Thanks a lot smiley

In the password change core snippet some texts are hardcoded.
          See webchagepwd.inc.php.
All the lines with webLoginAlert and $newpassmsg are hardcoded.

            Found some more:

            • When duplicating a page it has the name "Duplicate of XXX" instead of something translatable
            • The frontend quickedit links do not use the translation for the standard TV’s. For example "Edit content" should be "Bewerk inhoud", but it shows "Bewerk content". So it only translates the Edit part
            • The site scheduler page in the manager is not translatable at all (except for the menu item)
            • On the systeminfo page the information in the Server section is not translatable, like for example "Server Time" "Local time" etc.. (actually only the Recent editied/craeted pages section is translatable)
            • The manager logs section in the manager is not translatable

                Found one more.

The country list in the webuserprofile settings seems to be hardcoded, maybe also other country lists.

BTW: Is anyone forwarding this stuff to the dev team? I could not find a task in Flyspray for it.
                • I can assure you it’s being tracked by the dev team. wink

                      Cool guys, thanks !

@Ryan : should I manage this and have this all grouped into a TO DO for next release to file in FlySpray ?
