Well as I said in my previous post the default path is
full size or higher resolution photos in /photos and
    thumbnails in /photos/.thumbs
One of my main reasons for making this was I already had a file server with thousands of photos in it and did not want to have to put them into a special folder to have it work so as long as the path is readable to modx you can make it anything you like with the:
&mgStrDir=`directory/to/full_size/images` // where the full size images are kept. Defaults to photos
&mgStrThumb=`directory/to/low_resolution/images` // where the thumbnails are kept. Defaults to photos/.thumbs
    attributes.

For ease of upgrading MODX, it might be better to put the default photo location at assets/photos, though it’s not required and they would load a tiny bit faster where you have them.

Please dont point and laugh at me, but my next question is about directory paths.
&mgStrDir=`directory/to/full_size/images` // where the full size images are kept. Defaults to photos
&mgStrThumb=`directory/to/low_resolution/images` // where the thumbnails are kept. Defaults to photos/.thumbs

is this from root install/ or from inside the component itself?

        i.e. &mgStrDir=`images/gallery`

        or

        &mgStrDir=`core/components/mygallery/images/gallery`

To: BobRay Good point.I do not even use the default directories as I needed to use my existing structure that was left over from using phpGraphy so making the point to the assets dir would make sense and after all anything is just a sim link away on linux. smiley
I’ll try to post an update in the next day or so as I do need to have the readme show up in a docs dir.

Just a note to fans of myGallery. I have done a complete re-write to allow me to automatically create gallery pages based on the folder structure so that when I add a new folder I don't have to create a new page and also to take advantage of the getPage pagination snippet. I got a little ahead of myself with the upload and the docs were not attached and also the usage example does not match the snippet call so you may want to wait for 0.9.1 which I posted today and should show up shortly.

Please let me know what you think.
