Strange IE7 issue on MaxiGallerie 0.5.2

    Ok I am a little stumped on this one,

    I am using maxiGallerie 0.5.2 on a site and when testing the gallerie in Firefox all appears well. All images open if you click on them etc.
    When you go take a look in IE7 though, some images open, others dont.

    What happens is that you get your white box witht he preloader and thats where it stays. Once you opened an image and you try and open one that cant be opened in IE7 the white box remains the same size as the previous shown image and again it gets stuck on the preloader.

    I didnt have a clue this was happening until today when the Gent im sorting things out for pointed it out to me. I went red faced lol.

    Anyway, any ideas anyone?

      Just wondering if anyone thought if pictures etc would help.

        Try using the v0.6 test version, it has newer versions of the scripts.. try to use slimbox if not using yet..

          Would I be able to use 0.6 straight out of the box without having to restyle much ?

          I know you introduced some new handles and placeholders etc.

            Hi Doze,

            Ok, I have tried v 0.6 but the same issue is still present. Ive deleted the entire gallery (well whats there at present) and started again, but nopes its still there.

            If you want to take a look for yourself the page is http://www.countyblinds.com/index.php?id=3"" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here . If you use IE7 (and IE6 as it turns out but I have some bug fixes there anyway) the images are 1, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 (well my end). I am using slimbox and have been on 0.5.2

            Any thoughts? Its driving me nuts lol.

              Or then some css error. But I would lean towards that js, because it doesn’t happen with all pics.. EDIT: I didn’t get any pic to open with IE7 though..

              And it’s always good to try in these kind of problems to use just blank template (with blank, I mean a template with just <html><head><title></title></head><body>[*content*]</body></html>). With that working, you can start putting stuff from your main template back one by one and see where it breaks.

                Hi Doze,

                I have done as you suggested, and basically put the content onto a blank template.

                What ive noticed is that some of the images dont appear appear to be linked correctly. In otherwords due tot he blank template you get a basic redirect but instead of the image we see a red cross.

                So I think I have pretty much systematically ruled out anything else that could be at play.

                How does MaxiGallery handle underscores etc?

                  Ok,

                  I have tried a number of things now. I have tried renaming the image file, resizing it etc etc. But it always seems to be the same images that cause the problems.
                  The thing is though all images are

                  Horizontal Resolution - 300 dpi
                  Vertical Resolution - 300 dpiBit depth - 24
                  Frame Count - 1
                  Color representation - uncalibrated
                  file type - .jpg

                  I cannot think of anything else that could cause this issue to occur. sad

                  Ok, there are 2 images below. picture478 is the one that wont open (one of) and picture356 will open. Can anyone spot something amis as I cant see nothing...

                    Do you have a test page online with the simple template that I could check with IE7? I couldn’t get any of the pics to open in that first page with IE7...

                    Also, do you have 0.6 test version in use now? I strongly suggest to use that, because it has newer scripts and lightbox scripts are known to have browser related bugs..

                      I am currently using 0.6 and will put the call into a blank template (ill exclude the any css includes etc) The link above now goes to a test page.
