MaxiGallery - startup problems - any tutorials?

I have problems getting MaxiGallery working - I dont see any Mange pictures-button anywhere - and even if I try uplaoding pictures by FTP nothing happens - I would lite to know if there is any step-by-step tutorial somewhere explaining exactly how to use the snippet....?

I got it working using the following snippet call:

[[MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`lightboxv2` &pics_in_a_row=`2` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`200` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1`]]

My problem, however, is that the Manage pictures button appears without logging in as admin.

Any thoughts?

Well, found the solution - just to discover that my serverhost uses SAFE MODE, which will prevent from using MaxiGallery - do anyone know any alternatives - I just want a simple slideshow in a portfolio-section???

Probably not what you want, but you couldn’t you do a simple portfolio slideshow using a jQuery plugin such as JCarousel or jCarousel Lite?

Hmm.. MaxiGallery should work with SAFE MODE also.

You know that when you call snippets cached like [[MaxiGallery]] you need to set the document to be uncached or change the snippet call to uncached using [!MaxiGallery!], right?
