what can be the reason for the page to show both the Flash and the altContent?
I see swfobject.js is included in the source.

I have a xml slideshow and it seems to work fine:
http://alazao.com.br/mod/assets/flash/capa_fera.swf

but when I call it with swfobject, it won’t load the pics

I’m using this kinda call, pasted in the flash content div...

[!SWFObject? &mode=`dynamic` &flashVersion=`7.0.0` &objId=`myFlashContent` &swfFile=`assets/flash/myfile.swf`!]

this is my first for a flash embed in MODx, so prolly its something really simple i’m messing up, but any help or tip would be great...

Check any paths for dependent files, they should be relative to the site root (IOW base_url)

I was checking the paths for the dependent files in the xml doc for hours, but that didn’t work.

After reading your reply I checked the Flash source for the path to the xml inside.

Now I’m on my way for some Flash in MODx!

I have installed swfObject for the reading of a swf video file. Even if it is a bit slow it seems running.
But how could I change the color and the background color of the blue buttons of the flash player provided with it.

You can’t. The actual file is a SWF (http://www.semoy.wangba.fr/assets/flash/video/orleansTV.swf), not an FLV.
If you only had the video, you could generate an FLV file, and use a configurable Flash-Video player skin*. But that’s outside SWFObject’s scope, its job is just to embed Flash, it’s not a videoplayer per se.

Unfortunately, I haven’t a .flv version of this video. Just before,I have used JWPlayer without success with this format (nothing is displayed). And I have searched a free converter .swf to .flv without any success. Do you know a free product which can do this conversion ?

I have a colleague who swears by FFMPEG. Don’t know if it converts SWF.
