    I experience the same thing, but I am not sure if it is a problem. May be simply a matter of selecting a different effect like fade in/out rather than the slide/grow up/down.

      Something is happening here, but you don't know what it is.

      It’s not a big problem. But there is ’too much movement’ on the screen while adding just a new letter to the searchword. The whole resizing effect of ajaxsearch is repeated. In my opinion it has to be a second (somehow simpler) effect after adding just one letter.

        I have increased the duration before to display of the results. So If the letters are typed normally you don’t change the content of the window until to stop the typing.
        And I have also changed the mootools FxSlide transition. Quintic easln transition used instead of the default linear transition.
        Try it ...

        duration = 600 with mootools1.2
        duration = 800 with Jquery
        duration = 400 with mootools 1.11

        IMHO, I can’t keep open the results window, as I don’t know which window height is necessary to display the results. So I need to use the slideIn / SlideOut effect after each typed letter.

          I think you just have to change the effect after displaying the first result.

          Found this MooTools forums posts. Maybe there has to be a length transition between the two texts too.
