set the mbstring parameter to 0 if you couldn’t load the extension

Why not just do this as instructed in the AjaxSearch instructions to disable the use of mbstring?

well that would be all well and good if i could find the instructions and also i found a reference to the 1 0 but it was commeted out and cannot find the correct file to change

i appreciate all the help i can get as a newbie
