Hi all,
I am really running in a catastrophe with AjaxSearch, I am stuck with multiple problems and here comes the list ;-)
1) there should be a clear link to the documentation of the tool from here http://modxcms.com/AjaxSearch-490.html. For Docs look here http://www.muddydogpaws.com/development/ajaxsearch/parameters.html
2) the download page at http://www.muddydogpaws.com/development/ajaxsearch/download.html says it’s version 1.6. All the documentation in the ajaxSearch_readme.txt and the snippet-ajaxSearch-tpl.php itself in the zip-file says it is still version 1.5. What’s up now with the versions? Where can I get a complete set of files with version 1.6?
3) index-ajax.php is not included in the zip-file but the docs say: put it into the root of your installation. How can I put something when it’s not included?
4) there should be examples for a call a) as ajax enabled search and b) as normal search with output at an additional search page. In the docs it is not clearly defined how I can reach a search without ajax enhancements (just a plain search functionality). How does the call of the form have to look, how the call for the landing page?
5) for a non-ajax search: is a ajaxsearch call in the results/landing page necessary? Or only if there should be a (second) search form too?
6) It is not clear if and which parameters depend on each other for plain search.
This cost me 10 hrs now and you can imagine I am not happy any more. If you can not see which version you are running it becomes impossible to have a plain start with everything test stuff deleted before and so debugging becomes difficult.
My call for the search box (I am on a 096RC1 install):

I apreciate the work of the developers but a lot of additional effort rises without clear docs.

For search with no ajax functionality, just add parameter &ajaxSearch=`0`.
