    Hi!

I want to give to my client a simple interface to add information about its services etc. For that I would like to create a simple form that would add the data to the DB. I know I will have to use the MDx DB API, but I wanted to add this form to the manager so the user won’t have to switch between the front end and the manager all the time. Also, I don’t want to pack the website with a full load of ’locked’ pages... In my view it’s a little bit messy to do that way, even if it makes it easier to export to another website.

Again, any hints or directions on how to do that?? Thanks a lot in advance!

MODx is just great and the dev team is also incredible!

    Bye,

Not at all. It takes a little while to get used to the MODx way...especially since it makes things that should be hard easy, and things that should be impossible possible with a bit of work.

I’m in the process of adding a module on my site; you can log in to Manager as guest, password guestuser and run the module to see ShopX progress. As I get the forms added and the processor files written, you’ll even be able to work with it.

copy paste the look from the manager file.

You can find most of the manager file on manager/action/

Static and Dynamic, it won’t matter, but that’s the files that are being called and displayed on the main frame.

                    Wish you all the best.
