    Heh, to be honest, I don’t even use the form for emailing purposes. It’s shining feature is the form validation, which is what I use extensively in the backend so my users don’t have to use the complicated (in their words, not mine!) document editor built in to MODx smiley

    I may use it later for mailing purposes but not yet...

      Having vericode and 1.4.3 issues!

      I just converted my mine site over, built in a subdirectory, and then moved over, replacing the site. This is a 0.9.5 setup.

      If I use the CAPTCHA verification, it continues coming back that the code was wrong. I then move from 1.4.2 to 1.4.3 in case that was an issue, but still wouldn’t go through. Then removed CAPTCHA and I would get the thank you page, but no emails were coming in.

      Switched back to 1.4.2 and emails came through. Still couldn’t get CAPTCHA to work, but then switched from FF to IE, and it accepted the code and sent the email. Cleared sessions, cookies, and everything else in FF, closed and reopened FF, but still won’t accept the code.

      On top of all that, I can’t get the &subject=`Some text [+placeholder+]` to work any more either. Completed changed it from fld_subject to reference, just in case even having the word subject in there was affecting something.

      It has not been a good eForm day, unfortunately :’(

            Not sure what is going on. I used your (original) templates and everything seems to work. CAPTCHA does it’s work, subject gets populated as intended and it’s sending emails..

            Perhaps try downloading version 1.4.3 again.. There was an error in my first upload at mentioned in the other topic you posted in. (and yes,.. there are differences with 1.4.2, although they are minor)

            You can see my version of your form here. (It’s protected, I’ve PM’d the details to you)

              Did you clear the site cache and your browser cache, delete the previous site files, and double-check all of your configurations and .htaccess after moving the site?

                ZAP,

                yes, but I think I’ll try doing it again just to make sure... worth a try anyway.

                EDIT - okay, does this sound correct....

                Cache: Found 3 files in cache directory and deleted 0 cache files.

                New cache files will be created when pages are requested.

                Should deleted be 0?

                EDIT 2 - Hurray! Now working. I don’t think FF cleared the cookies earlier and when I went in to check that, there were a whole list of them, mostly referencing the QE, so I dumped all of them, and CAPTCHA now works, including being logged into the manager or not.

                Gotta love it.... or go crazy trying! wink

                  Experiencing a little weirdness with eForm sending BLANK "automessage/autotext" to recipient’s email (as filled out in form text input name = "email" ), even though no automessage is defined... (PHP 4.4.1) ..trying to disable...

                  UPDATE:

                  The following code sets autotext to the output of the loaded template.
                  $autotext = (($tmp=efLoadTemplate($autotext))!==false )?$tmp:$_lang['ef_no_autotext'] . " '$autotext'";

                  However, If autotext is not defined, it returns false, resulting in $autotext outputs: ’’

                  Which this code allows to pass, since I have "email" defined in my form, and $autotext is defined, not empty/null...

                  if ($autotext && $fields['email']!='') {

                  To temporarily correct this, I had to patch that line with this:

                  if ($autotext != " ''" && $fields['email']!='') {

                  Now I now longer am getting the automessage, but it still works when I define one. smiley

                  Please note: The only reason this patch works is because ’ef_no_autotext’ doesn’t seem to be defined in the language file?
                  Therefore, the result is " ’’" ([space][single quote][single quote]).

                  There are better ways at validating that automessage was originally declared, and if so, whether it resulted in a valid TPL result.

                      Yes you’re right.. glad you picked this up. Will have a look at this for the next version.

                      Again, that makes sense yes. I did put the code there for a reason but memory fails me about why. I’ll have a look at that as well.
