    Got it! Sloppy of me. In the snippet it calls the chunk "eFeedBackThanks", but the chunk was actually named "eFeedbackThanks". Lower-case b. Thanks ZAP.

      Hi there,

      It seems that required field when used with textarea doesn’t work on my install. I mean that even if I specify that a textarea is required, and I don’t fill it, the form is sent. Anyone has the same problem ?
      Here’s my textarea :

      <textarea id="form-adresse" name="adresse" rows="3" cols="37" class="inputtext" eform="Adresse:html:1" > </textarea>

        Just tested... textarea works for me, empty value generates required field error. I do see however that you have a space between the tags. Possibly your browser is sending a space as the value. Posted values are not trimmed at validation (perhaps they should). A space is thus not the same as no value.

          You’re right ! wink It comes from the space between tags. Thank for your help smiley

            I’ve got a question; I have seen theres a couple of filter options in the eForm documentation, but I can’t seem to find any way to block certain ’bad words’ from being send by using the contact us form. Lately I’ve been spammed a lot (even though I’ve got the CATPCHA validation running, obviously hand-inserted and all containing url-bbcodes and at least five links. If anyone has a clue on how to block it, its more than welcome.

              Hi!

              [+validationmessage+] in the template - outside of the form chunk seems to not work, though I do have 1.4.2.

              You can test it on the page
              http://feng-shui-bg.org/consultants/almays

              I have included the following code in the template

              <!-- validation message start -->
              [+validationmessage+]
              <!-- validation message end -->

              And it doesn’t work.

              Amazingly, it was working before I changed the template. I had another tpl before, now I’ve changed the design and the [+validationmessage+] in tpl has gone...

                So what happens when you use the old template again?

                I’m assuming you translated the language file? What happens if you use the original English eform language file?

                  When I submit my form I get the email with the correct Subject but there is nothing in the email.

                  Here is what I got:

                  [!eForm? &formid=`SubmitForm` &to=`[email protected]` &tpl=`SubmitForm` &category=`Contact Requests` &format=`name:Name:string:1,email:Email:email:1,message:Message:html:1`!]

                  SubmitForm Chunck

                  <p class="error">[+validationmessage+]</p>

                  <form method="post" action="[~[*id*]~]" id="SubmitForm" name="EmailForm">

                    Apologies if I’ve missed the answer elsewhere, but this is the first time I’ve tried to implement eForm using a dropdown menu for subject and sending to more than one email address....

                    I’m using a dropdown for subject that also determines the recipient email. Sending to one email was fine and I could plug in the subject into the email, but when allowing sending to different emails, it seems that the dropdown values must be set to 1, 2, 3, n instead of a subject value to determine the appropriate email address.

                    This works fine for determining the email to send to but now the subject is listed as 1, 2, n.

                    Is there a way to use one dropdown to select the subject and recipient, route to that email address, and allow that subject line to show up in the email?

                      runningthingz,

                      You need to set the &report parameter to a chunk containing the content of the email. There’s some documentation here, or you can check the eForm docs in assets/snippets/eform/docs in your MODx directory.
