Who says nobody wants to help you? Perhaps we just didn’t get to it yet

Looking at your form and snippet call you are using eForm 1.0, yes? Best thing to do is to upgrade eForm to 1.3 in the repository or to 1.4 which can be found here and will go into the repository very soon. You’ll need to read through the docs a bit to get the hang of it as a few things have changed (for the better I hope).

Just out of curiosity, with the new eForm (1.4), are there any plans for the form to update a site page instead of just e-mailiing? Kind of like NewsListing but with all the customized variables of your form. I’m not sure how hard that would be to implement but it would be a lovely feature to ModX.

I am working on a jabber (IM tool) snippet, would it be posible to plugin jabber notification. like when a form is send out it simultanisly send a notification tru jabber?
I have a jabber class that just needs a couple variables set to work a bit like the phpmailer class. but I do not know if you can use them at the same time.

Using the eForm events you could write a separate snippet to do just that.. You can use the eFormOnBeforeParse event to dynamically add fields to your form and the eFormOnbeforeMailSent event to write values to a database, to a page or whatever you want to do with it. eForm will then look after the validation etcetera but you’re free to do handle teh date in any way you want. I’m sure you’ll see creative solutions popping up in the forums.. here’s a first attempt by pixelchutes

I don’t know the jabber class but I see no reason why not. I’d say just try... I bet all you need to do is include a jabber enabled snippet with a function that can be called by the eFormOnMailSent event, set the the event in the eForm call and off you go... You could even be cheeky and use use the cc or bcc eForm parameter and capture these in the eFormOnBeforeMailSent event, send a message via jabber and clear the cc (bcc) field.

I have followed the instructions as listed below however I am having trouble as the verification image is not showing up. Is this a variable that has to be defined/ installed or is it automatically installed in the modx package?

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

It’s likely sarah that your GD is not configured or on in your PHP installation. The verification image requires it to work properly.
