I had the same problem (blank response page, and no email sent) again tonight, so I tried clearing the site cache and trying again. It didn’t seem to make a difference.
I’m running the same site from two domains (.com and .co.uk) and I noticed that the .co.uk version wasn’t added to the list of allowed domains. I’ve added it now, and I’ll have to do some more testing soon to see if that had anything to do with it... I think I might be clutching at straws though :S
The best way to find out what’s happening, by far, is to add the & warnAll property to the snippet tag. That way the page won’t be blank. It will contain an error message.
BTW, one common cause of that is having autofill on along with the hidden field option.
Hi Bobray,
My site is live at the moment, if I turn the warnings on, will that mean that users will see anything they shouldn’t? I guess anything is better than a white-screen anyway... I’ll do that and see if it fixes the issue. Having said that, I turned on captcha last time I had the error and *touch-wood* it hasn’t happened since. I’m also using the hidden field and I believe autofill is on as well... I’ll let you know if that’s the cause of the problem when I finally get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for your help
The only down side to having &warnAll is that it tells spammers why they were unsuccessful.
spform for multi-lingual site?
Hi Bob, first off I have to thank you for this great form snippet... there’s something oddly satisfying knowing my contact form has this level of spam protection
The site I’m using it on is in two different languages en/es and I’m using the Babel package to manage the linking of pages between two different contexts (one for English; one for spanish). I want to use the form for both versions of the website however I don’t have much control over the form labels or the various messages generated by the spform script.
Do you have any advice/suggestions how I can setup my form in Spanish?
I was thinking about just duplicating the entire class and manually entering the Spanish strings and just create a new snippet to use within the Spanish context...
gracias

TBH, I haven’t tested it on a multi-language site.
Try using the &language property in the tag with a setting or TV for its value:
&language=`[[!*LanguageTv]]
If that doesn’t work, try using a different tpl chunk for each form with full language tags in it for the prompts:
[[%language_key?
&language=`en`
&namespace=`spform`
&topic=`default`
]]
You could put the name of the appropriate tpl chunk in a TV as well.
Thanks for your quick response,

&language=`[[!*LanguageTv]]
The form doesn’t load. What do I enter in the TV, I tried ’en’ and ’es’ ?

[[%language_key?
&language=`en`
&namespace=`spform`
&topic=`default`
]]
This ouputs the text ’language_key’ when placed into my spformTpl chunk.
I’ll brush up on my modx language features and see if I can get these options to work.

Check in System -> Namespaces and see if the spform namespace is: {core_path}components/spform/
en should work in the TV. Try hard-coding &language=`en` in the snippet tag and see if that works. In theory, just putting that in the tag and using the default tpl chunk should do it if the language files are in the right place. I know I tested it and it worked, but that was a long, long time ago.
SPForm 3.2.0 isn’t displaying the form in Revo 2.1.3 I set the debug to Yes, and warnAll to yes, and ndada, naja, nothing.
What did this old fool do wrong when installing?
MySQL: 5.0.45
PHP: 5.2.6
Linux 2.6.9-023stab048.6-enterprise #1

PDO enabled
FFox Apple 3.6.8

Probably nothing. I haven’t tested it on 2.1.3 yet. I’ll try to get to it over the weekend.
