Has anyone successfully installed this with 0.9.6?

I didn’t test MODx 0.9.6 yet, but I made a dutch translation of FCKeditor 2.4.2. The dutch language file can be found here

I’ve installed FCKeditor 2.4.2 with Modx 0.9.5, but had to conclude that Rewrite browser paths still must be set to ’no’, otherwise pictures will not show up. Still no solution for this behavior?

I installed the FCKEditor plugin on my local dev machine (0.9.5, Win2k, Firefox 2.something), but I have problems with

        a) image uploads: it does nothing. I changed the config.js file (changed asp to php + made sure path is correct)

        b) form icons showing up in FCKEditor: That was the only real reason for me to install FCKEditor: tinyMCE doesn’t have that.
But... the form icons never show up in MODx. I added [’Form’,’Checkbox’,’Radio’,’TextField’,’Textarea’,’Select’,’Button’,’ImageButton’,’HiddenField’] in MODx, and made sure it’s still present in the fckconfig.js file. But no luck sad

        Any tips/help?

For the image uploads: in the Manager goto Tools -> Configuration -> tab Interface & Features and change the Rewrite browser paths to No. Also make sure that there are no popup blockers active (or disable them). You should now be able to use images.

This is what I mean with my previous post.

hmm, popup blockers were not active for localhost. I meant the tab within the image menu "upload" -> browse (choose file from HD) -> send to server. That still doesn’t work.
I think that tab is a bit misleading... it just does nothing here. Anyway, uploading via the first tab works now (resources browser, bottom).

Anyone got a solution for the form icons not showing up? Of course, I can still switch to HTML (source code) view and add the form items that way, but having some WYSIWYG form menus would help, esp. for non-tech people/admins.

              Hey there,

I don’t know why but I was never able to get FCK to work. I went through the installation process and when I try to load it in a document it just loads my front-end home page. (it’s set to do this when the page was not found.)
              I would appreciate any help.

              Thank you.

                Hello,
Sorry if this is too basic an issue but I’m trying to get fckeditor installed. The instructions appear to indicate the folder should be placed in the root directory of the site. I have the fckeditor editor folder as unzipped in that location. Then I am instructed to
                "Run the installer (http://www.yoursite.com/install/)"
When I do that I receive the 404 - page not found response.
I’m just in the beginning stages of learning MODx and have installed a few other things in a similar way. So apparently there is something I don’t grasp about how the install process works.
What do I need to do?

i don’t know if you;ve worked it out yet but you just have to put the install folder that you download with the plugin in the same directory as the assets and manager folder. then you upload it to your server (or just move a copy to your localhost directory) and navigate to the address of this folder ie www.yoursite.com/install

an automated install tool will appear. follow the prompts.

"Resources Browser & Web Page Dialog" problem

                    Hi all.

I installed FCKeditor 2.4.3 on Modx 0.9.6 with install script

When i try to insert a picture in FCK rich-text editor from the manager I can’t do it because of "Image properties" web page dialog stealing all the focus and not letting me to select picture from the resource browser which opens as an ordinary bage foreground to impage properties (see attached pictures illustrating process).

And uploading from upload section doesn’t work although it workes from resource browser standalone.

                    Browser IE6 at WinXP Pro

                    Server:
                    PHP Version 4.4.7
                    MySQL Client API version 4.0.24
                    FreeBSD 4.11-RELEASE-p17 i386

                      Hello! -

I’m very impressed with the quality of the FCK editor as well as MODx - but I have a question (perhaps something I’m overlooking...)

Is there a way to insert internal links into pages the way that TinyMCE does (via dropdown with a list of pages perhaps?)

                      Thank you!!
