TinyMCE 4.0.4-rc2 fails to install under revolution

but how a broken package with so common functionnality as zip can still be in the ubuntu distro ?

i have the same problem. I can’t install the new tinymce with the rev. 2.0.3. I got the same zip problem.
Any one some idea?

Change the System Setting ’archive_with’ to 1.

really bad, because i don’t have no a rich editor in modx.

I discovered modx only recently and tried to install it locally on my desktop running ubuntu 10.10 (php version 5.3.3-1ubuntu9) and on my webserver running debian lenny (php version 5.2.6-1+lenny9). For both installs I used MODx Revolution 2.0.4-pl traditional and TinyMCE 4.1.1-pl. On the desktop I had no problems unpacking and installing TinyMCE, on the remote server I ran into similar problems discussed here:

I don’t know, wether this is a bug or just a missing package on the remote system. What I found is the debian package libphp-pclzip and the this thread, telling me to switch ’archive_with’ to 1 and now it works perfectly.

I tried switching to archive_with 1 and it still didn’t work for me. I’ve been looking relentlessly in the forums and have tried everything to try to make tinyMCE show up. Please, please, please, please someone have mercy on me and help me with my tinyMCE installation.

Wow, I felt like I just got visited by Robert DeNiro in ’Brasil’! Thanks! But when I crossed my fingers, added the php and tried to reinstall tinyMCE - but this time, it never got to ’finished successfully’ like it did before, after waiting a good long time (it did change the use tinyMCE as rich text editor in system settings, i checked on that).
I’m going to try it again and mess around with it some more.
EDIT - oh, I’ve been FTPing the ZIP transport manually (some other thread on tinyMCE not showing suggested that)... maybe I’ll try it purely through Package Manager again.
EDIT - I tried it in every configuration with the PHP hack - with archive_with set to 1, with it set to no, with the manual zip, purely with package manager, clearing my cache all the time.... it’s so sad.
Tomorrow is my birthday, for real. It would be an awesome birthday present for timyMCE to work!
