Support/Comments for TinyMCE

Bravado, you ARE amazing. I’ve been longing for a new file manager and with Ajax File Manager you really nailed it. This solves so many obstacles for me I can’t describe. Best christmas present ever.

It happens so much interesting in the MODx community right now, with ecommerce solutions like gCart and so on. Damn, I’m so glad.

Is it possible, this time, to access the file manager within the frontend?

I don’t know if I am blind but is "Custom Parameters" configuration option still available on TinyMCE 2.1.3?

I am having exactly the same problem Andy Ayre has:

Using MODX 0.9.6.1 and TinyMCE 2.1.2
Links add the "/manager/" directory in front of the internal url ("[~999~]")

Currently I am going through all the files, this MUST be something in my config
since so few people are complaining and I can’t imagine being one of few
using 0.9.6.1. and 2.1.2 together.
But my config is having the same problems and Andy’s then.
Anybody having any ideas what this might be?

Setting for TinyMCE is:
- Path Options = rootrelative
- Cleanup = enabled
- Link list = enabled

To follow up on the previous reply: I have just upgraded to version 2.1.3 (not the AJAX Filemanager but the standard one)
and am still having the same problem.
I guess version 2.1.3 is the one that is supported now, so I will investigate with this version.

Hello,

I have still this problem with "/manager" being added in links.
And others also have this problem. I have already spent more than 2 days investigating this problem,
but have not found the reason why TinyMCE is doing this.
Can somebody explain me which modules create the url there.
The tiny_mce.js does create the documentBasePath, but that looks the same as
in other installations and is pointing to the /manager directory.
Since other installation work ok, I suspect that this is not the cause of the
error.

I hope somebody can help me in which direction I have to look.
The problem is that my customer is loosing faith in this Open Source solution
and I have problems convincing him to stick to this CMS.
(Which is reasonably easy for now. You just tell him: Hey, which support do you
expect to get from Microsoft or other commercial products... )

Hello,

To come back on my previous problem reported by me and others.
It seems that I rely on the MODX Search too much and therefore could not
find the links mentioned below. The standard Google search engine pointed to the right direction.

I implemented these solutions and problem seems to be solved.
Tomorrow I will let my team test if other new problems occur due to implementing this solution.
The first problem manifests itself also in MODX 0.9.6.1. and TinyMCE 2.1.3.

I installed TinyMCE 2.1.3 AFM Beta 1 with MODx 0.9.6.1B.

Now - at the time I want to edit a picture in the Ajax File Manger - I receive the following error message:



Does somebody know how to solve this problem? Thanks...

Nice to see TinyMCE 3.0 available. 

Just one small bug I’ve found in this 3.0 version.

If you select ’Content Editor’ or ’Custom’ as your TinyMCE Setting Theme (Found in ’Tools’ -> ’System configuration’ -> ’Interface & Features’), you get a javascript error and no editor is displayed.

I tracked it down to the tinymce.functions.php file around line 198. There is an extra ’,’ on the line:



Change it to:



and all is well as far as I can tell. Unless there were some additional parameters that got missed off the end!?
