Sorry for the newbie type question...

I installed the latest version of PHx and found that it turned off my Jot output when I had the custom place holders active. So my comments and form didn’t display at all. What do I need to do to allow PHx and Jot to co-exist?

Now this is a real newbie question!:

I can see that PHx is really popular but I’m struggling to understand what the best implementation of it is - I really don’t understand what it does? I’ve read everything I can find but I think the example site is down at the moment so maybe that’s what I’m missing?

PHx allows you to modify template vars and snippet placeholders on the fly without needing to create custom snippets or PHP code for common tasks. For example you may want to output the publish date of a document but you may want the ’created on’ date in a different format other than the default. With PHx you can modify that output in the following manner

[*createdon:date=`%d.%m.%Y`*]

This way you don’t have to create a custom snippet to do this. Does that make sense?

Well, it looks like this thread is addressing the Jot and PHx plugin issue

In summary: if you turn off placeholders and use the &action parameter you can call Jot in multiple instances to get the output while keeping PHx plugin enabled.

If someone else has a better idea please let me know.
