Look in the top of the manager/media/style/MODxGreen/style.css file, it shows my changes at the top.

Are you using a custom theme?

More explanation please, you kinda left a major part out of the instructions.

        From the install text.

        ## INSTALL ##
unzip the package on your comp, and upload the files found in the manager folder.

Yes, but where? Which folder? Assets? Modules? Manager? Plugins?

All The files go into the manager folder on the server. All that is required to install this modification is to upload the files.

The folder structure in the zip is exactly like the one on your web server.

Sorry, but it’s still not clear.

All those folders and some of the files already exist in the manager folder.

Do I delete or overwrite the existing files?

Most FTP programs will overwrite the current files (which you should have a backup copy of them just in case) so all you should have to do is upload the whole manager folder contained in the package.

If your FTP or server doesn’t support file overwrite, you’ll have to manually delete the core files and then upload the altered ones contained in the zip package.

Does this work with the current version (v9.6.3)?

At the moment this modification requires core files to be changed so it is made for a specific release. That being said, you can look at the modified core files in the package and add the bits that are required to your currrent working version (the changed sections where the code is added are commented in the files). The support files in the package are not version specific so they should work fine.

There are also other highlighter mods available in the repository if you are not comfortable changing core files.
