PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! How to

Can someone please type up a better ’how to’ for webloginpe because i’m sick of trying get this thing working. It’s a great piece of work and i’m not taking anything away from it but the documentation is not very straight forward.

I can’t get my custom forms to work correctly with it, I can’t get userimages to upload and an explanation on how the tpl and chunks thing works? If not i’m paying one of you to do it so I can learn a working example.

Ross, If the website you are working on is publicly accessible online and you can hook me up with a manager username and password (temporarily), I would be happy to log in and get WebLoginPE straightened up for you.

Please PM me about the manager login.

Tell me what you WANT to happen with WebLoginPE and a brief explanation of what is ACTUALLY happening that is driving you nuts.

Once we get this straightened out, you and I can improve the documentation for WebLoginPE.

The documentation is a tad bit geared towards more advanced users, but if you poke around it enough and "wrap" the stuff around your head, it becomes a lot easier.

Scotty should know --- I asked him like 20 questions in the beginning.

Hey Rossco, can you report on your experience/ help all the rest of us out here? I’m stuck in the dark on how to make this thing work! But i’m sure it’s awesome once it does.

I think I need to open up manager access at the demo site to this MODx community so people can poke around and see how it works on the demo site.

Hey Scotty, that’s not a bad idea! A few quick things:

1. On the demo site, Register "Verify" does not work, so there’s no sample call or code for people who want to try to figure out how that works.
2. On the demo site, Register "Instant" goes to the right page, but the link at the top: ("This page uses a custom register form and many WebLoginPE options. To see the WebLoginPE call and the custom registration chunk click here") does not work, so we cannot see the call you are using.

Also, I plan on writing a really easy to use tutorial geared towards beginners once I’m done figuring how to get a working example done so if you want to help me figure this out through PM/email/Skype, I could get started on creating some more documentation to help beginning users (and I’d really appreciate the help!)

As Scotty said... Scotty was kind enough to give me access to his demo site and it really helped me understand how to get your own templates working with loginpe and how to call on them. It’s still hard to understand but with a working demo in from of you this helped me a hell of a lot. I copied what Scotty had done and then slightly modified it and then modified it more to suit my needs. If i could work it out I’m sure you guys will.
