I’m going to ditch the whole <label> part altogether.

It’s all about flexibility, and some people don’t want the <label> tag at all, or they want to do something else there, like an <a> tag inside the <label>, or a colon in the HTML instead of using the CSS pseudo-element :after.

When I make this change, if you want a label to show up in the form, you must use

<label for="wlpeWhatver">Whatever
[+form.whatever+]
</label>

So in the next release, &inputHandler will change to

&inputHandler=`DOM_ID:CSS_CLASS:inputname:inputType:option(value),option2(value2)`

Quick bug in the documentation and /Default Forms in the ZIP. It’s &usersOuterTpl, not &userOuterTpl like it is currently named in the Documentation and that folder in the ZIP.

Found another bug. When I try using the "private" option for an e-mail address, instead of saying Private, it gives nothing (no text at all, like if someone hadn’t filled in that field at all).

Hmm...even by adding that, it still doesn’t say Private. I added emailprivate to the User List page (I had orginally forgot it there), as well.

I noticed in the Parameters section, it has userProfileEmailPrivate, and in the Working with Forms, it has userEmailPrivate. I’ve used both in inputHandler, but it doesn’t change anything. The only change I made was by removing the "Keep e-mail private..." text, because I’m using it like this...

EDIT: Gah...I think I may have found another bug. In the User List, when I call [+view.gender+], instead of outputting the word Male/Female like it normally should, I’m getting 0,1,2 (0-Undefined, 1-Male, 2-Female). Any idea why WLPE is doing this?

wow, I can’t believe how much this little snippet has been developing in the last couple of days!

I’m starting to think I may have to change a couple of things in my multiple mailing list module soon. I’m liking what I’m reading about!

How’s the autologin after reg going too? Has that advanced yet from the todo list?

(not that I was actually suggesting it last time. )

I’ve also updated again (on another pc) to the latest Xammp too, and the ’If exists’ sql errors still happen too (ok, I’m stil on 1.2) - in a windows environment. Not sure how or why. But it makes it a little annoying for developing on a local server. I know this thread is for webloginPE, but how does developing go on a mac for a local server go? Would I be right using the lastest Xammp for os x and would that ’if exists’ error occur? Just curious, ’cause I’ll move my site there and try stuff out too if it works.

Hey Steve. I forgot about the automatic login after instant registration feature. I apologize. I like the idea and I DO plan to make it an option (&regAutoLogin perhaps).

About XAMPP, I am sorry to hear that it is not working well. I am not sure why because the SQL is syntactically correct and the if/else logic checks out. Very strange indeed.

I use MAMP on Mac OS X, but I also test on my Linux box (Ubuntu 7.04, Apache 2.2.3, MySQL 5.0.38, PHP 5.2.1). I have not seen this error pop up.

Yeah, it’s strange, ’cause I checked out all the syntax too! And it was all perfect! Thanks for the link too, I look forward to checking it out and have it running sweet. So much for having the mac as just a video editing machine.

This is a small patch for webloginpe.class.php that will resize an uploaded image to fit *within* the desired height and width without skewing the pic. So if you want an 1000x800 pixel image to be resized within 100x100, it will generate a 100x80 image. I prefer this to a distorted 100x100 pic. If you want the pic to keep its proportions, pass a true value (like 1) as a fourth argument to the &userImage parameter, e.g. &userImage=`524288, 120, 300, 1`.

As an aside ... I too would really like to see auto-login on registration. And isn’t it time that WebLoginPE had its own subforum? This thread is getting a bit unwieldy ...
