I love this snippet and managed to set up it pretty well.
I have some issues I would like to sort out:
1. DOB
I would like to have 3 selects for dob: Year, month and day.
How would I do that with wlpe?
2. Input handler
a) I need the form elements to be formatted a bit different than what it does default:
<label for="someId">Some text</label>
<input .... />
(When using the "for" attribute that is the correct way of formatting it.)
How would I do that?
b) As I’m currently creating an non English site I need to create a custom input handler for gender. But when creating that custom handler and setting the name part to "gender" it just doesn’t show up. If I set it to anything else it’s there again.
c) Very small issue: With the input handler it’s not possible to add a colon in the label, as that would give an extra colon in the call. I guess I could set it with js if it’s important to me...
Perhaps the input handler should just set the options, not the label part, that would solve both a) and c).
3. Log ip-addresses and block user
I want to be able to log every ip-address the user uses when logging in, to be able to ban abusers.
For that there must be a custom field in the custom table where ip:s are stored, and also a way to ban people.
My question is: Should I make this my self, or is this interesting enough for others to so that it perhaps could be a new function in comming versions of WebLoginPE?
4. International characters
I have the issue with not being able to log in with names with international characters, but that I’ve already reported.
Forcing users use just English letters would not work very well in non-english countries.
Also, would international characters be a problem if a user called MÖDx tries to upload a picture? Haven’t tested that part yet.
5. Disable instead of delete
I haven’t come that far yet, but is it possible to "disable" a user instead of deleting the account? If someone are doing nasty things on my community I would like to be able to disable the account while keeping the data for tracking issues.
Also, while I’m at it, it should be nice to have a parameter that says accounts should be disabled instead of deleted when the users deletes them selfs, also for tracking issues.
Again, I probably could do this myself, but...
