    Hi,
Here the result from the test. http://www.mydomain.com/modx/assets/cache/test.php

Reading file (C:\Domains\mydomain.com\wwwroot\modx\assets\cache/siteCache.idx.php)Cannot write to file (C:\Domains\mydomain.com\wwwroot\modx\assets\cache/siteCache.idx.php)

So, what does this mean? huh

It would appear that you don’t have write access to the file siteCache.idx.php or assets/cache folder.

You need to check your acess permissions for the folder. The assets/cache should have read/write access enabled.

I know this is lame, how can i check whether or not i have permission for the folder assets/cache. My hosting is using HELM. My FTP account have READ/WRITE permission for \wwwroot (\wwwroot\MODx\assets\cache), shouldnt i already have the "permission" for assets/cache?

Anyway, i also try clear the READ-ONLY attribute for the folder assets/cache on my computer, then re-upload it again. Plus i create again the test.php and run it, still same result

FTP and your webserver aren’t the same thing. You need to change the permissions of those files via your FTP program to 777.

I dont have a FTP program, i just simply ftp://ftp.mydomain.com and upload the files. Any free FTP program you can recommned that can perform the 777 thing? grin

Are you runnning your own server? If not you might want to ask your ISP to some information on how to change the read/write permissions on your IIS box.

No, i install MODx on shared web hosting windows package (http://www.exabytes.com.my).

I dont know if this is relevent nor useful information, i install joomla on the web hosting and it work fine. I access it as www.mydomain.com/joomla, so i was hoping to do the same with MODx www.mydomain.com/MODx which currently result
