Did you check that the assets/cache directory and all its files are chmodded 777?
Hi,
I think problem #1 has to do with yout ht.access file. and FriendlyURL is turned ok
Cannot open file (../assets/cache//siteCache.idx.php)[/QUOTE]
Please make sure, if the file’s attributes are NOT "Read Only", if it is ok then try re-uploading a "siteCache.idx.php" file from fresh download copy of modx.
After uploading, click on "Refresh Site" from menu to clear-up cache of MODx.
As FYI, this file has an important role in running of this software.
I hope this will solve your problem.
best regards,
zi

I’m just curious, why the directory have a double //? Is this normal?
What version of MODx are you using?
I too use IIS and the // is ok with IIS. From what I’m seeing it would appear that the system is unable to write to siteCache.idx.php. Can you create a php script to test to if you can open and write to the siteCache.idx.php?
<?php
$filename = dirname(__FILE__).'/siteCache.idx.php';
// read file content
echo "Reading file ($filename)";
$handle = fopen($filename, "r");
$contents = fread($handle, filesize($filename));
fclose($handle);
// write content to file
$handle = fopen($filename, "w");
if (fwrite($handle, $contents) === FALSE) {
echo "Cannot write to file ($filename)";
exit;
}
echo "Write was successful";
?>
