Moving an image in the editor changes it's path

For what it’s worth , exact same problem here. Using Suse/FF1.07, Rewrite image paths on. I’m under the impression that the ’Rewrite image paths’ does nothing at all. Full image paths are stored in the database.

Same with IE. No change, it works.

Considering I do have image path re-write enabled, why does the image path show as an absolute path? I would have thought it would add the image using a relative path.
