If I’m not mistaken, I think one already exists, but it’s only displayed when you are logged into the website on the frontend.

My question would be how to turn this on so guests to your website can get subscriptions without completing a full registration?

That is exactly what I’m looking for, a subscription checkbox in comments form but for guests, as do have a lot of blogs I’m reading. I don’t want to have any registration related things.

Not possible. The subscription system is tied to MODx users and the email address etc info comes from there.

Then it should be redesigned. Such a feature is very common and very handy. Would be a big lack not implement it in a future release.

Could you not just use something like this?

What has that to do with subscriptions?

That is a feature to help the form remember what you entered, like your email & name, so the next time you come back to enter something, some of your info is pre-filled in.

What we are talking about is a way to subscribe to the comments to where when new comments are entered, you receive an automatic email of the updates. This already exists within this component, but it’s only available to people that are already logged in. We’re wanting it available to guests who aren’t logged in.
