I don’t know if this is what your were trying to explain to me, but I did find a way to get it to work.
For those that are curious here’s what I ended up doing:
Created the tv product-tags
Input Type: Check Box
Input Option Values: tag1||tag2||tag3
Widget: Delimited List
Delimiter: ||
gave access to the template used by the Products(4) page.
Created a container within my Poroducts(4) container and named it Tags(26) but used a URL alias of "section" so that my URL would end up looking like: mysite.com/products/section/tag1
On the products page I included

I didn’t use a call on Tags(26) - I just made it a container and created a page for each tag term I wanted to use within it. On each of these pages I included another jump menu and the call below. For each page I updated the &tagDocumentID and &tags perameters accordingly

I really struggled with the idea of having to create a page for each tag term within a container. I guess that just shows my inexperience, but it took me a bit to wrap my mind around it all. I thought for sure that there would be a way to include some sort of conditional coding so that I would only need the Tags(26)page.
At this point I haven’t applied any css styling but it does wk if you want to look:
