Ditto won't display [+summary+] after upgrading to 0.9.6

I am looking around here http://ditto.modxcms.com/ and I can now see that "...As for version 2, Ditto will no longer support the summary placeholder natively as it is resource intensive and superseded (introtext field)"

I rely way to much on examples as a beginner. introtext can be used in place of summarize.

My template now looks like this:
<h3>
<a href="[~[+id+]~]" title="[+title+]">[+title+]</a>
</h3> <!-- link to blogs article with it’s title (link is title) -->

By <strong>[+author+]</strong>
on [+date+].
<a href="[~[+id+]~]#commentsAnchor">
Comments ([[Jot? &docid=`[+id+]` &action=`count-comments`]])
</a><!-- link to the article with comments form and comment count -->

Summary: [+introtext+]


Link: [+link+]

And my Ditto call like this:
[!Ditto? &introtext=`5` &total=`20` &commentsChunk=`CommentsBlog` &tpl=`BlogTemplate`!]

The Wiki tutorial should be updated as well.

&extenders=`summary` should be correct in this instance. Also, make sure everything in /assets/snippets/ditto got uploaded correctly.

indeed it does. I tried:
&extenders=summary //incorrect
&extenders=`summarize` //incorrect
&extenders=`summary` //correct

The placeholder has to be [+summary+] as well. I don’t know where I started using [+summarize+] (look a few posts up from mine)

This is why I need a CMS. Can you imagine all the errors if I was writing all the code myself?

I have not even scratched the surface and I am getting in trouble.

had an example of use like so:

"To include the summary extender you must use &extenders=`summary` as in this example:
[!Ditto? &extenders=`summary` &total=`20` &commentsChunk=`CommentsBlog` &tpl=`BlogTemplate`!]

Then use [+summary+] as the placeholder in your page, chunk or template to be replaced with the summary"

Also, it would be helpful to know why I would use the summary extender instead of introtext.
