Maybe use &parents and &display instead of startID and summarize, try cached or unchached snippet tags.
And make the call as simple as possible, make sure you have the posts/articles published and show in menu.

I think the main problem is
My placeholder didn’t appear. the next, previous and page link didn’t appear
So I can’t click anything.

How could this happen?

@elven_ranger: I too had this problem but calling the ditto snippet cached like so [[Ditto? ...]], while making sure the page was uncached solved it for me. According to the Ditto support site http://ditto.modxcms.com/tutorials/pagination.html this is directly related to having PHx installed.

I had the same typ issue and when I took out 1 of the sort peramiters it worked. I had &sortBy=`createdon` and &sortBy=`asc and took out the &sortBy=`asc and i worked.

I have PHx installed.

My Ditto call is chached:

 [[!Ditto? &parents=`9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15` &depth=`1` &display=`6` &orderBy=`createdon DESC` &paginate=`1` &paginateAlwaysShowLink=`1` &showPublishedOnly=`1` &tpl=`indexpage` !]]

The page where the Ditto call is located is not cacheable (check box is unchecked under Page Settings)

The pagination chunk shows up without the placeholders (as people have been experiencing) and the content from my Ditto call on my page no longer shows. If I do single brackets (uncached), my content comes back, the paginate chunk remains, but I still have no placeholders.

Do the pages that the Ditto call is calling from all need to be uncached as well? Am I uncaching correctly (by unchecking the check box under Page Settings)?

Hello.
My auto-generated urls are wrong. Instead of /index.php?id=72&start=10 I get using tag [+next+] the wrong url: /index/pagenews.html?start=10 The same problem for [+previous+] and [+pages+] tags.
I use this Ditto call:

[[Ditto?parents=`72`&depth=`1`&tpl=`ResumeActualite`&display=`10` &paginate=`1` &filter=`hidemenu,0`&sort_by=`pub_date`]] {{ResumeActualite}}

Showing [+start+] - [+stop+] of [+total+] Articles | Page [+currentPage+] of [+totalPages+]

[+previous+] [+pages+] [+next+]

Page caching is off
Modx: 1.0.0
PHP Version 5.3.0
Apache/2.2.11

Hello, don’t know if you found the solution, but i would try that way:

[[Ditto? &parents=`72` &depth=`1` &tpl=`ResumeActualite` &display=`10` &paginate=`1` &filter=`hidemenu,0` &sort_by=`pub_date`]]

(with correct spaces and starting arguments with ’&’)

Solved. I had a problem with the friendly urls. I desactivated Friendly urls and now it’s works.
